Since the time in which the Obradoiro de Gaitas Seivane was based in Ribeira de Piquín (Lugo), it has been a place of pilgrimage for gaita enthusiasts.
Xosé Seivane has always characterised himself by acting as the bagpiper’s friend. Listening to their problems and anxieties over the course of entire afternoons and learning day by day from their experiences, led him to carry out an intense effort to improve the instrument of which bagpipers are participants and beneficiaries at the same time.
